GF 3DF

The standard sickle bar is the 117 cm PRO-MONOLAMA model with crank movement.
It is suitable for mowing all types of grass and can be used in rustic areas, orchards, or forage grass.
The crank mechanism is made of the best steel and is equipped with grease nipples on all joints.
The oscillating grass conveyor is mounted on anti-vibration mounts and has a special profile to better discharge the grass even in the most difficult conditions: the mowed grass is picked up and discharged to the ground by the wheels for easier forward movement.
The steel blade attachment is self-adjusting. The bar teeth have a special serrated profile for a perfect cut and are made of special heat-treated steel. The blade pressers are adjustable, ensuring constant contact between the blade and the teeth.
The PRO-MONOLAMA sickle bar can also be 137 cm long and is also available with oil bath movement and adjustable cutting head.
The oil bath mechanism reduces maintenance and makes the bar ideal for the most intense and difficult uses.

The GF3 DF’ s weight distribution has been designed in such way to increase its stability when mowing on slopes. In order to further increase stability on slopes, Grillo has a wheel extension kit to obtain a wider track up to 24 cm, pneumatic wheels with high adherence tyre profile design and a laterally adjustable handlebar.

The GF3 DF’s mechanical transmission with its oil bath gears is located inside an aluminium pressed casing. The levers operated controls for the gears and P.T.O are all easily accessible.
The active cone clutch lever controls the drive; once you let go the handlebar the cutter bar will stop with the engine still running. For further safety of the operator, the drive lever is equipped with a double control to avoid any involuntary actons. The double control can be activated with only one hand.

The differential increases the manoeuvrability and, combined with the brakes, makes the Grillo GF3 DF agile also during the manoeuvres on slopes. The two brake drums mounted on the wheels are operated by the two levers on the handlebar and allow alternative braking of respectively one wheel so to improve the turning radius. Apart from that the levers are equipped with a block so to convert the service brakes into parking brakes able to hold the sickle bar tightly even on slopes.
The diff-lock is operated by a T-shaped lever on the handlebar and turns out to be indispensable to ensure the straight advancement without any efforts to the GF3 DF.
